Chelsea 4-0 Brentford 17/02/2013

Chelsea earned their place in the fifth-round of the FA Cup with a 4-0 win against Brentford at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues were held for 45 minutes in west London and could have been behind, as Marcello Trotta beat Petr Cech - only for the referee to pull play back for a foul seconds earlier on Adam Forshaw.

However, Oscar had hit the post and Frank Lampard missed two good chances for the hosts in the opening period, and Spanish international Juan Mata finally broke the deadlock on 54 minutes with a low shot past Simon Moore.

That lead was doubled 14 minutes later when Oscar produced a clever flick to beat the keeper from six-yards out.

The Brazilian was proving to be the difference and was involved in his side's third-goal, teeing up Lampard to finally get on the scoresheet with a close range volley - the England international making it 199 career goals for Chelsea on 71 minutes.

And, the scoring was complete ten minutes later when captain John Terry - who later denied press reports of a bust-up with manager Rafa Benitez - rose highest at the far post to head home Oscar's cross.

The win earns Chelsea a trip to Middlesbrough in the last 16, as Rafa Benitez chases silverware whilst in charge on an interim basis for owner Roman Abramovich.
